Farmer's Market

The District-sponsored Farmers’ Market has been going strong since 2010, when it was established as a venue for local farmers and growers to sell their farm products and connect consumers to area farms. The market is coordinated on Wednesday evenings to accommodate local farmers, growers and consumers who have other commitments during the traditional workday.

Items sold at the market include: seasonally-grown produce (lettuce and other fresh greens, herbs, peppers, garlic, tomatoes, and more); frozen meats; pottery; annual and perennial plants and fresh cut flowers; artisan breads; baked goods including six-inch pies and homemade cookies; honey; pumpkins and gourds; goats milk soaps; salves and lip balms; jams and jellies; and more!

A key feature of the market is that items for sale are grown, produced, or raised in the local area. Fruit and vegetable selection changes as the local growing season progresses; and new vendors join throughout the season as their products become available.

The market is coordinated by the Jefferson Soil and Water Conservation District. It is held in the parking lot of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and features ample parking and easy access.  It is held on Wednesday evenings from early summer through early fall.

If you are interested in becoming a vendor, please contact Wendee Dodds at (740) 264-9790 for more information. Only food items and agriculturally-based items not for human consumption such as plants, cut flowers, cornstalks, etc. are permitted to be sold at the market. The market also hosts a limited number of artisan vendors selling items such as pottery, goat milk soap, and more.

We will be posting a market application packet in late April 2025.

Please be sure to follow the Market Facebook Page for the latest information!
